The hotel opened in June 2005 after a GBP 4.7 million refurbishment. The elegant mansion house was built in the early 20th century and offers excellent facilities for both business and leisure, attaining 4-star status in November 2005 and AA Rosette standard dining in Summer 2006. The hotel was winner of the prestigious Visit Scotland, Thistle Award for 'Customer Care' In November 2007.
The courtyard bedrooms are designed in a contemporary style. All rooms have king-size beds which can be converted into twin beds. There is 24-hour room service. Please see individual room details for a complete list of facilities on offer.

The award-winning Jockey Club restaurant offers modern Scottish cuisine with mouth watering dishes. The adjoining Jockey Club lounge offers an informal lunch and supper menu midweek.
Due to it's central location in Ayrshire, Western House offers easy access to various attractions for you to enjoy during your stay, such as Culzean Castle, Burns Heritage, the Isle of Arran and various distilleries. For those needing some retail therapy, there is also the new Ayr Central Shopping Centre with many leading department stores on site.
