This 22 km² island is the southernmost of the Aeolian Islands and is situated at 20 km from Milazzo in Sicily. This volcanic island has retained its natural, wild beauty which can be enjoyed while hiking to the craters or touring around the island by boat. With its typical yellow color from sulfur and boasting lush greenery, the island is also characterized by volcanic black sand beaches.

By Hydrofoil (from Naples):
- There is one departure per day and 2 departures per day in high season. The crossing time is approximately 6 hours.

From the following towns there are frequent daily departures:
- Reggio Calabria (crossing time approximately 2 hours).
- Messina (crossing time approximately one hour).
- Milazzo (crossing time approximately 40 minutes).

By Ferry:
- There is one departure every evening from Naples (approximately 21:00) directly to the island (crossing time approximately 10 hours).

By Air:
- The nearest airport to the island is Catania, with frequent flights from various cities.
- From Catania you can take the bus to Milazzo port, which takes approximately 90 minutes.
- From Milazzo there are frequent hydrofoil connections to Vulcano.

In case of earlier departure the total amount of the reservation will be charged.

If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later, 30 percent of all nights will be charged.
In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

All children are welcome.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.
All children from 2 to 12 years are charged 50 % of the room stay per night and person for extra beds.
All older children or adults are charged 80 % of the room stay per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2.
