Distinctive business and leisure travellers reside in a 19th century Imperial Riding School in Vienna's diplomatic district, while enjoying the lush 2000 m² private garden. This boutique hotel was originally built in 1850, under Emperor Franz Josef I, as a military riding school. During the planning and construction of this hotel the utmost care was taken to preserve the heritage and style of the original architecture. What is now currently the entrance way and the restaurant was originally the horse stable.
In November 2008 The Imperial Riding School Vienna, A Renaissance Hotel, met the high criteria in order to receive the “Österreichisches Umweltzeichen für Tourismus” an official Austrian award for ecology-minded behaviour in the tourism sector.

This restaurant with adjacent winter garden and summer terrace serves breakfast (06:30 to 11:00) and dinner (17:00 to 22:00). The Imperial Renaissance Garden Club is open from May to September offering City Barbecue (Wednesday - Saturday from 17:00 to 22:00).
Arsenal Beer and Wine Pub:
The restaurant is open for lunch Monday - Friday 11:00 to 23:00. The flair of our restaurant embodies glorious days gone by: visions of the imperial cavalry parading their coat of the arms throughout the long-gone empire.
Area information
This historic hotel is located in the immediate vicinity of the baroque Belvedere Palace in Vienna´s diplomatic district. The Ringstrasse and the city centre, the opera, concert halls, theatres and museums are within easy walking distance.
Travel information
The S7 (commuter train line) takes you directly from the airport to the hotel in 22 minutes. Take the “Rennweg” stop. The station is right behind the hotel.
