Arrival by sea: The famous Isle of Man Steam Packet company operates ferry services from the Isle of Man to Liverpool and Heysham on the UK mainland and Belfast and Dublin in Ireland. The Heysham to Douglas service operates year-round, with fast craft vessels operating in the summer, reducing the journey time to two hours. The Liverpool to Douglas service also operates year-round, with fast crafts operating in the summer months, providing a journey time of 2 hours. Services to Dublin and Belfast operate between April and October, with a journey time of 2 hours.

From the sea terminal: Continue along the promenade. The Chesterhouse is situated a quarter of a mile along on the left hand side.
