The Glendower Hotel is the sister hotel of Mode, located just 5 minutes walk away where you can enjoy the benefits of their full leisure facilities. These include a gym, heated swimming pool and weights room. For the ultimate in relaxation you can follow up all that exertion with a soothing sauna and jacuzzi, or use of their sun bed.
Parents using the health and fitness club can relax in the knowledge that their children will be kept busy in the adjacent play area. Snooker players can also enjoy the benefits of a full-sized competition standard table.
Mode has 17 rooms, recently refurbished to a high standard, 6 of these have sea views and balconies. The 2 family rooms have a shared terrace.
All rooms have plasma screen televisions with Freeview channels. There is a lift to all floors, making all rooms easily accessible.
Food & beverage
Far from the average continental breakfast, the hotel offers an extensive selection of cereals and fresh fruit, as well as a choice of cold meats, fresh salmon and an assortment of tasty cheeses. The freshly baked speciality breads and French pastries are complemented by locally produced organic jams and chutneys. A selection of hot drinks are on offer, from espresso to cappuccino, with 2 blends to choose from, all made from freshly ground beans. A generous assortment of teas ensures that there is a flavour to suit all tastes.
The hotel is located opposite the Island Complex, which offers a swimming pool, cinema, several cafes and a restaurant. The bustling central square of Lytham St Annes is a few minutes away on foot, plus all the attractions of Blackpool are just a few minutes away by car or public transport.
Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club (1.1 km / 0.7 miles) is an internationally renowned course, being a rotated host of the Open Championship. It is unique in that it is the only links style course to begin with a par 3 hole.
In case you should suddenly feel drawn to the bustle and crowds, the rides, shows and restaurants of Blackpool Pleasure Beach (5.5 km / 3.5 miles) are just a short drive up the coast.
By Car:
- Follow the signs off M55 (junction 4) for Lytham St Annes.
- Enter St Annes via the A584 (Clifton Drive North / South).
- Turn onto East Bank Road, head towards South Promenade and turn left.
- The hotel is situated on your left.
Children aged between 2 and 12 receive a 50% discount when staying with adults.
