KERKIS BAY hotel is situated on the southwest sight of Samos at the centre of fishing village Ormos Marathokampos. The facility has recently undergone a thorough renovation. All doors and windows have been endowed with new frames and panes, to the purpose of ensuring full efficiency of the aircondition system in the premises.
Hot water for the hotel and restaurant is obtained almost exclusively through solar power whereas the new tiled roof contributes to a drastic management of whatever thermal and cooling leaks. In general terms, this is a facoility that has heavily invested in environment-friendly features and arrangements.

The traditional Greek menu proposed by the Hotel's restaurant has for sometime now made this facility's reputation, which amply explains the predilection demonstrated for KERKIS cuisine by the hotel guests, local people and commuters alike.

Ormos Marathokampos lies on the south-western side of the island of Samos (Greece) at the foot of the high mountain Kerkis and overlooks the deep blue Aegean Sea.
It is 30 km away from the island s airport and 40 km from Vathi, the capital of the island.
It is a small picturesque fishing harbour full of traditional fishing caiques and trip boats which enable the visitor to visit unspoilt beaches, small islands, the holy island of Patmos and the islands of Fourni and Ikaria.
One can also rent a car or a motorcycle and go sightseeing around the green island and visit archeological sites and other places of interest.
Along the paved sea-front of Ormos there are restaurants, cafeterias, bars etc. and also night clubs to satisfy every taste at very reasonable prices. Similarly, the small hotels, the rented rooms and the studios are quite cheap. It is noteworthy that nowhere in the village is the music too loud, so that the visitors, together with their dinner, coffee or drink can enjoy the tranquillity and the beauty of the landscape. Furthermore, no cars or motorcycles are allowed along the sea-front road during the evening hours.
Apart from Ormos, with its lovely harbour and seaside, there are the beaches of Velanidia, Votsalakia, Psili Ammos close by.
The whole verdant region is ideal for walks, for trips to several monasteries and chapels in the region, as well as to Pythagoras cave, and for climbing up Kerkis, the highest mountain of Samos (1450 m high).
