This majestic hotel, dating back 1884 has preserved its established traditions while modern furnishings contribute to the combination of ageless style, grace and old-world charm.
Opposite the majestic National Library, housed in a Belle Époque building and just a stone’s throw from central Stockholm’s cultural, entertainment and shopping centres. The hotel is situated at the heart of the vibrant Stureplan, a chic and pulsating central Stockholm district.
Combined with modern amenities the elegant and timeless rooms offer an extremely high standard with eclectic furniture and inventive retro touches.
Following a very extensive, full restoration program, the new hotel opened in 1984 and among other architectural treasures, its graceful circular stairway is lit by arched windows. The reception area, on the other hand, has a sleek modern design.
On the ground floor, overlooking Birger Jarlsgatan, you will find one of Stockholm's top restaurants, the award-winning Vassa Eggen which meticulously prepares fine cuisine from local produce.
