Clarion Hotel Ernst was built in 1858. The hotel has been modern renovated with new delicate rooms, new conference-center etc. Clarion Hotel Ernst is located in the heart of Kristiansand. In 1986, the hotel was sold to a Kristiansand-based consortium. In the period up to 1988, it was rebuilt, and opened under the new name Ernst Park Hotel. The summer of 1997, Choice Hotels Scandinavia ASA bought it, and the hotel was renamed Clarion Ernst Hotel.
Up through the years major facelifts and renovations have been made. After Choice Hotels takeover, new, delicate rooms and a large new conferance-center has opened. At all times, the wish that our guests shall feel at home, has been the foundation for our way of running the hotel. The response from our guests suggests that we have succeeded in doing just that.
