The Clarion Collection Hotel Bilan is located in the building of an old prison. The prison cells have been extended and converted into 68 comfortable rooms and a prison museum.

A light evening meal is included for all guests.

The renovated and restructured rooms used to be old prison cells. There are 40 twin rooms and 28 single rooms all decorated in the modern style.

The contemporary Varmlands Museum is 300 metres from the hotel.

The Froeding Museum celebrating the famous Swedish poet 8 km to the east.

Sunne Ski Centre, the historic home of Marbacka Minnesgard and Rottneros Park with its gardens are all 60 km to the north.

By Car:
- Take the E18 road from Stockholm to Oslo.
- Alternatively take the number 45 road from Gothenburg.
- Follow the signs marked for the centre, heading towards the roundabout where the hotel is located.

By Air:
Karlstad airport is 15 km to the south east.

By Public Transport:
Karlstad railway station and the local bus are 300 metres to the west; Karlstad bus station is 700 metres to the west.

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

All children are welcome.
All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.
All older children or adults are charged SEK 200.00 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

Pets are allowed on request. No extra charges.
