From the Bologna-Taranto Motorway:
- Exit at Bari Nord, and head towards Altamura-Matera (SS 99).
From the Salerno-Reggio Calabria motorway:
- Exit at Sicignano degli Alburni, towards Potenza.
- Follow directions to Metaponto (SS 407 Basentana) until you reach Matera.
- From the SS 106 towards Metaponto, follow the signs to Matera.
By Plane:
- The closest airport is Bari-Palese (60 km).
