Hidden in suburbia 2 miles north-east of Norwich city centre, this charming, romantic, period house with a garden and free parking, is full of quirky character.

The guest house features beautiful en suite rooms, some with a spa bath or four-poster bed. Locally sourced food with vegetarian options is served, and your hostess is happy to prepare a snack or light supper (if booked in advance).

Catton Old Hall is conveniently located for the airport, rail, bus the Norfolk Broads and the coast. There are regular buses which run to the city centre.

Built in 1632 Catton Old Hall is heavily beamed and the old house creaks a bit which all adds to its character and charm. Roger Anthea, staff, and Fendi the Yorkie offer a warm welcome and invite you to snuggle up with a book by the log fire on a cold night, or sip champagne on the patio on a warm evening.

All rooms are individually designed and furnished. All have comfortable king or super-king beds. Two rooms can be made into twin rooms. There is one four-poster room and
5 rooms have spa baths.

There is a fully stocked honesty bar, but please inform the guest house if you have a favourite tipple. The wine list includes champagne and sparkling wines. Please order your wine ahead of arrival if you wish it to be in your room on arrival.

Old Catton is a quiet suburb 2.5 miles north-east of Norwich. It is mainly residential, and is home to the recently re-opened Catton Park, with wonderful open parkland to stroll in.

Norwich International Airport is 10 minutes away. The Norfolk Broads, the coastline, Norwich city centre (for shopping, antique shops and many fabulous restaurants and bars) are all accessible.

For the young at heart, the Riverside Complex in central Norwich has night clubs, bars, restaurants, a cinema and riverside walks. The Forum is a must for any tourist visitor.

You can take a taxi from Thorpe train station.

There is a regular daily bus link from the city centre.

From Easter to September inclusive, we do not let rooms for Saturday alone. Some rooms have squeaky floor boards.

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

All children are welcome.
All children under 1 year stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
